Cookie policy.
Last updated 30 August 2026. This explains the cookies and similar storage Canary uses on the marketing site, lab, and bounty pages.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We also use local storage and similar mechanisms for the same jobs: keeping a SIWE lab session, remembering an injected wallet connection, and understanding whether the product is working.
What we set
- Strictly necessary — Lab SIWE httpOnly session and nonce cookies so you stay signed in after you sign a message. Bounty pages store injected wagmi connection state (browser extension wallets). WalletConnect is not used. These are required to use Lab sign-in, evals, and bounties.
- Preferences — reduced UI chrome or last-used view, if you set them.
- Analytics — first-party counts of which docs and marketing pages are used, so we can fix dead ends. We do not use that data to advertise Canary on other sites.
How long
SIWE session cookies expire after a short idle window or when you sign out. Nonce cookies last only long enough to complete a signature. Injected wallet connection storage lasts until you disconnect. Analytics cookies, if present, expire within thirteen months.
Control
You can block cookies in the browser. If you block strictly necessary cookies, Lab SIWE, wallet connect, and bounty posting will not work. For analytics, use your browser’s tracking controls or a content blocker.
